About La Voluterie
La Voluterie is an independent guide to direct-lung vaping, the style where vapour goes straight to the lungs through an open draw, usually on coils below one ohm. RDAs, sub-ohm tanks, high-wattage mods, high-VG e-liquids and battery safety are what we cover.
What we publish
Practical guides that start from everyday use. How many drops an RDA really needs, why a very thick liquid can flood or dry out a coil, what a high wattage asks of a battery. We would rather explain a set-up than line up product lists.
Where our figures come from
Product specifications come from the manufacturer's own documentation. Our sums rely on Ohm's law, which the battery headroom checker on the home page works through in front of you. When something cannot be checked, we say so instead of rounding it off.
Who writes it
Articles are written by Axelle Dumont, who follows direct-lung hardware closely, from rebuildable atomisers to dual-battery mods.
Our independence

UK readers
Our English pages are written with the United Kingdom in mind. Products sold here follow the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016, which cap nicotine e-liquid at 20 mg/ml, tanks at 2 ml and nicotine refill bottles at 10 ml. Figures quoted for other markets may not match what is on sale in the UK.
